Our History

Faithfully serving Queens Village

Our Story

1952 - Humble Beginnings

Founded by a small group of Nazarene families meeting in a rented storefront on Jamaica Avenue. Rev. Thomas Wilson served as the first pastor with a congregation of 23 members.

1957 - First Building

Purchased and renovated a small house on 222nd Street to serve as both sanctuary and parsonage. The congregation grew to 75 members under Pastor James Carter.

1965 - Expansion

Built the current sanctuary to accommodate growing attendance, which had reached 150. Started the church's first Sunday School program and youth ministry.

1980 - Community Outreach

Launched the Queens Village Food Pantry, which continues to serve hundreds of families each month. Added Wednesday night Bible study and prayer meetings.

1999 - Renovation

Completed major building renovations including updated sanctuary, new classrooms, and fellowship hall. Celebrated with a 300-person anniversary service.

2015-Present - New Vision

Under Pastor David Johnson's leadership, launched contemporary worship services, small group ministries, and expanded community service programs.
